The Sinixt Confederacy — part of the Washington-headquartered Colville Confederated Tribes — is pushing the Canadian government to recognize its rights in this country. Sinixt is seeking influence in an area of land already claimed by local Indigenous nations in the Okanagan. As Kylie Stanton reports, the government is hoping for a diplomatic resolution.
