Speaking during Monday’s question period in the House of Commons, Conservative MP Andrew Scheer proclaimed that Canadians pay more in the so-called “carbon tax” than they receive back in climate incentive rebates. Liberal Treasury Board president Anita Anand replied that Conservatives deny the existence of climate change, as they pressure her party to “axe the tax” amid an upcoming rise in carbon pricing on April 1.
