It was feared to be bad but now we are learning the extent of damage this winter’s extreme cold inflicted on cherry buds in the Okanagan. Cherry trees would typically be blooming now, but in many orchards—- there are very few blossoms, if any at all – and that is prompting growers to amplify their calls for government emergency funding.
