Speaking in Ottawa on Wednesday, Minister of Emergency Preparedness Harjit Sajjan, Minister of Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Environment Steven Guilbeault and Minister of Indigenous Services Patty Hajdu provided a wildfire forecast and update for Canada. Wilkinson said that the current expected areas of highest fire risk have shifted from British Columbia to the prairie provinces and to the majority of the Northwest Territories, with a 鈥渉igher likelihood of above-normal fire activity鈥 across all of Canada for June.
