5 to hospital after Hwy 7 crash in Kawartha Lakes: OPP

Five people were taken to hospital following a single vehicle crash at an intersection on Hwy. 7 in the City of Kawartha Lakes early on Canada Day. A single vehicle crashed into a pole at the intersection of Hwy. 7 and Elm Tree Road. OPP say one person was transported to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries while four others were transported to Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay with minor injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
