The union representing LCBO workers at Ontario’s main liquor retailer said in Toronto, Ont., on Thursday evening that more than 9,000 workers will strike as of 12:01 a.m. on Friday, after a deal could not be reached during the bargaining process. “LCBO workers are ready to make history,” said Colleen MacLeod, chair of the OPSEU/SEFPO Liquor Board Employees Division. “Tonight, Ford’s dry summer begins.”
