It’s been three years since the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan, plunging the country into an economic crisis while silencing anyone advocating for women’s rights or democracy. As Jeff Semple reports, while Canada has welcomed 40,000 Afghan refugees since August 2021, many of those who worked for Canada’s military are still waiting for help.
