Canadian Defence Minister Bill Blair said Tuesday that Global Affairs Canada has “secured a significant number of spots” on commercial flights leaving the Beirut, Lebanon airport and “if there is an escalation of violence in the region we know will be required to do more in order to assist Canadians,” he added.
