On Tuesday, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller criticized Israel’s efforts to protect civilians, citing recent “horrific” incidents over the weekend. We understand the very difficult environment in which Israel operates, but the results of that strike were deeply disturbing. We all saw that video and all know that it’s horrifying to see people burned to death,” Miller said.
