At the public memorial service held in Winnipeg, Man., on Sunday for Murray Sinclair, his son — Niigaanwewidam Sinclair — described his late fast as “an advocate. A fighter. And some of you may have just learned — a poet, an artist. And perhaps most of all, he was an educator.”
