U.S. President Joe Biden said from the White House on Tuesday that a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah will take effect at 4 a.m. local time on Wednesday, after both sides accepted an agreement brokered by the U.S. and France. In his remarks, Biden said the accord was designed to be a permanent cessation of hostilities and that his administration was determined that the conflict will 鈥渘ot be just another cycle of violence.鈥
