An encampment of over twenty people is situated on Meadow Drive, just outside Truro. The encampment has revealed how severe the rural housing situation has become, raising concerns about the safety of the people living there. Plus, starting next year, the St. John police will scale back their response to medical calls in order to free up resources for other law enforcement duties.
