1 dead after collision on Hwy. 7 near Peterborough: OPP

One person is dead and another was injured after a head-on collision on Highway 7 just west of Peterborough on Wednesday night.
Around 6:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the collision on the highway near the intersection of Parkhill and Lily Lake roads.

Kawartha lakes OPP report a 32-year-old driver of one vehicle died. The other driver taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The section of highway was closed for several hours as OPP investigated.

Police say the cause of the crash remains under investigation. They’re asking for witnesses or anyone with dash cam or surveillance footage in the aera at the time to come forward.
