Fredericton’s concept for downtown bike lanes received a green light from city council. Construction for the project will still need to be approved in the 2026 budget, but in the meantime, advocates are applauding the bike lanes, and asking for more. Plus, police in N.S. are stressing the importance of road safety after the province experienced a significant spike in fatal car collisions in 2024.
