‘Too soon’ for retaliatory measures on U.S. tariffs: Quebec Premier does not want to ‘provoke’ Trump

Speaking to reporters Wednesday, Quebec Premier François Legault addressed comments made by his British Columbian counterpart, David Eby, that Canadians should avoid travelling to the U.S. if President Donald Trump imposes 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian goods. Regarding if he would advise Quebecers to do the same, Legault said it is “too soon” to implement retaliatory measures, adding that he does not want to “provoke” Trump.
