Canada steps up forest fire management with WildFireSat

The deadly wildfires that sparked devastating losses in Los Angeles recently are a stark reminder that we need to be better equipped in the face of climate change. Canada isn’t sitting idle and has launched new state-of-the-art satellite technology that could potentially save lives and property. Ten satellites will be built and used to detect and monitor wildfires from space.
