Mass tech layoffs at major companies

Meta cuts around 5 per cent of its staff, laying off nearly 3,000 employees. Google is offering voluntary buyouts to some of its workers. And workplace management software company Workday let go of close to 2,000 employees earlier this month. One tech and business lawyer says, its in part thanks to A-I, but could create jobs in another department.
