U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday dismissed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy鈥檚 complaint that Kyiv was not represented at peace negotiations between the U.S. and Russia. 鈥淲hen they’re worried about not being seated, you mean somebody that should have gone in and made a deal a long time ago? You could have made a deal,鈥 Trump said. Zelenskyy said it was “fundamental” that any negotiations not happen “behind the backs” of Ukraine, which was not represented at the U.S.-Russia talks.
