Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said Wednesday that Alberta’s energy was the “secret weapon” or “trump card” in fighting back against U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs. Smith said Alberta has “one of the largest deposits of oil and natural gas on the planet. It is significantly larger and far more accessible than the quickly declining oil and gas reserves located in the United States.”
