Will Durham residents boycott American social media sites amid trade war?

The impact of U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs continue beyond just physical goods. Yesterday, the provincial government announced it is cancelling its contract with Starlink, an Internet service provided owned by Elon Musk’s company, Space X. The trend of boycotting continues as some municipalities in Durham Region say they’re preparing to stop using social media apps.
