From Gaza and Iran to Afghanistan, women around the world continue to face unimaginable challenges: fleeing conflict, enduring oppression and fighting for basic rights. Among those who’ve sought refuge in Canada are thousands of Ukrainian women who left their country either alone or with children — all while carrying the heavy uncertainty of their loved ones’ safety back home. And many are finding strength in one another. Neetu Garcha reports.
