Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced Tuesday that U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick has offered an 鈥渙live branch鈥 to Ford and other Canadian delegates to meet in Washington, D.C. and discuss a possible resolution to tariffs. In return, Ford announced that he was suspending its 25 per cent surcharge on electricity exports to three U.S. states.
