After a day of escalating threats that started with U.S. President Donald Trump saying steel and aluminum tariffs on Canada will go up to 50 per cent 鈥 in response to Ontario鈥檚 decision to impose a 25 per cent tariff on electricity imports to the U.S. 鈥 Trump complimented Doug Ford calling him a 鈥渟trong man鈥 after Ontario鈥檚 premier dropped the electricity charge. Asked if he鈥檇 make a different decision on Canada鈥檚 tariffs following the move, Trump said 鈥淣ow, I鈥檓 looking at that, but probably, so, yeah.鈥
