Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney landed in Paris for his first official foreign trip since taking office in March, meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron to garner support amid rising tensions with the Trump administration. “I want to ensure that France and the whole of Europe work enthusiastically with Canada, the most European of non-European countries, determined like you, to maintain the most positive possible relations with the United States,” Carney said.
