The U.S. Coast Guard offloaded nearly 46,000 pounds of seized illegal drugs Thursday morning at Port Everglades. Speaking at a press conference announcing the seizure, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in her opinion, the cartels are becoming “desperate” because of the Trump administration’s actions at the U.S. – Mexico border.
