The FAA says a key safety system that broadcasts an aircraft's position will now be required to be activated around Washington, DC after the deadly mid-air collision this past January. The acting head of the FAA and the general overseeing U.S. army aviation were in the hot seat on Capitol Hill Thursday after the NTSB identified at least 85 extreme close calls at the same DC-area airport over the last three years.
