During a visit to the Pituffik Space Base in Greenland on Friday, U.S. Vice President JD Vance suggested Greenland has “no other option” than to become independent of Denmark and allow the U.S. to acquire it. “Other regimes that don’t have the best interest” would eventually take over the Arctic,” the Republican vice-president said.
