In this week’s edition of Minute at the Movies with Todd James: Set in 1976 and inspired by a true story, “The Penguin Lessons” stars Steve Coogan as a traumatized British English teacher working at a school in politically charged Argentina, whose life is enriched after saving an oil-covered penguin. “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip” about a family on a disaster-filled road trip. “Mid-Century Modern” is a bawdy and biting sitcom-style series that follows three gay men living together in Palm Springs.
