Some residents in North Kawartha Township were stranded Thursday after Jack Lake Road washed out in the morning.
Located just south of Apsley, the main flooding of the road is just before Shady Lane.
Peterborough County OPP say just before 9:30 a.m. a resident reported a nearby creek had overflowed. Due to rising water, the resident reported they were unable to leave their property. A bridge on their property also washed out.
Municipal crews are on the scene and have closed the roadway.
