Japan is “extremely disappointed” after sweeping tariffs announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said on Thursday. Speaking to reporters in Tokyo, Ishiba said Japan had requested the United States exempt his country from the measures, which will include a 24 per cent tariff on Japanese imports to the United States.
