For over 200 years, the St. Lawrence Market has been a community staple in Toronto. And now, after nearly a decade of waiting, it’s new north building is finally open. This Saturday it held it’s first farmer’s market, and Mayor of Toronto, Olivia Chow, said it’s opening comes at a time when it’s needed most, as the movement to support local continues to grow.
