After putting a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs on Wednesday and increasing tariffs on China to 125 per cent, U.S. President Donald Trump said there is a “tremendous amount of spirit from other countries including China. China wants to make a deal, they just don’t know how to quite go about it.” Trump then claimed that the United States had more car manufacturers coming in because of the tariffs. “We had three cancellations in Mexico of building a plant — they’re all coming into the United States. Canada they’re coming in, from China they’re coming in — they’re coming in from everywhere,” Trump said.
