The Supreme Court of Canada is beginning to hear a case that examines the constitutionality of Newfoundland and Labrador’s COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions. This dates back to 2020 when a Nova Scotia woman wasn’t able to go to her mother’s funeral in Newfoundland and Labrador after being denied an exemption to a public health order.
