The United States will stop trying to broker a Russia-Ukraine peace deal within days unless there are clear signs that a deal can be done, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday. U.S. President Donald Trump said Rubio is right and “we will take a pass” on trying to resolve the Ukraine war if either Russia or Ukraine makes it too difficult to end the conflict. “We are going to see if we can get it done. I think we have a really good chance of getting it done and it’s coming to a head right now,” Trump said.
