Food insecurity has been on the rise in Canada, putting a massive strain on local food banks. This weekend, volunteers, politicians, and others gathered in Toronto to help sort the makings of meals and raise awareness about the staggering rise in usage. And, Liberal Leader Mark Carney unveiled his party’s lection platform on Saturday, promising billions in new spending and a clear shift from the direction taken under Justin Trudeau.
