A man is dead following a single vehicle crash in the west-end of Peterborough early Sunday.
Peterborough police say around 4:15 a.m. emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Sherbrooke Street West just east of Hwy. 7.
Officers located the vehicle and began life-saving measures on the driver. However, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the 25-year-old Cavan-Monaghan Township man was not released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The roadway was closed until around noon as police investigated.
