For the first time, from a London, Ont. courtroom, we’re hearing from the woman who alleges five former world junior hockey players sexually assaulted her. The woman told the jury how she met some of them at a bar before going to a local hotel. In Ottawa, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a trip to Washington next week, along with a royal visit at the end of the month. And General Motors says it is reducing shifts at the Oshawa assembly plant in Ontario “in light of forecasted demand and the evolving trade environment,” resulting in 700 workers facing layoffs. Plus, the Donald Trump administration is cracking down on a tariff loophole. It allowed goods worth $800 or less to enter the U.S. without facing a tariff or import tax.
