While meeting with new Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in the Oval Office on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump made reference to former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, telling reporters that “Governor” Trudeau once told him that a 25 per cent flat tariff on Canada’s auto sector would “be the end of Canada.”
