Carney says he asked Trump to stop making comments about Canada being the 51st state

Speaking to media following a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday, Prime Minister Mark Carney confirmed that he has asked Trump to stop his rhetoric referring to Canada as the “51st state.” Carney did not detail the president’s response.
