Dozens of pro-Palestinian demonstrators were arrested Wednesday after occupying and blocking Columbia University’s (CU) Butler Library and later protesting outside the New York City institute. CU Apartheid Divest (CUAD) protestors wearing keffiyeh headscarves and masks demanded the school enforce a strike and sever its financial ties with companies linked to Israel’s military – amid the Israel-Hamas war.
