Trump will not ‘unilaterally’ lower 145% tariff on China, White House says

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Friday that President Donald Trump would not “unilaterally” lower tariffs on Chinese goods without concessions from China. Her comments come after Trump floated the idea of reducing the current tariff rate from 145 per cent to 80 per cent ahead of trade talks in Switzerland.
