David McGuinty was sworn in as Canada’s new minister of national defence during Prime Minister Mark Carney’s cabinet shuffle ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa on Tuesday. He was previously the minister of public safety and emergency preparedness in former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s cabinet.
