Canadian academics are less inclined to visit the Unites States for conferences these days. Their concerns are beginning to benefit Montreal and other Canadian cities. Major conferences that would usually be held south of the border are switching to venues north of the border, bringing thousands of extra visitors. Global’s Dan Spector reports.
