Russia-Ukraine peace talks descend into mudslinging after Putin no-shows

There was hope Ukraine and Russia could make a breakthrough towards a ceasefire deal during their first direct peace talks in three years. But that was derailed after Russian President Vladimir Putin skipped the proposed meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Turkey. Jackson Proskow looks at how negotiations devolved into mudslinging as a result, and how U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration appears to be shifting its stance on the war.
