At a press conference on Friday, Durham police said a 14-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder following a fatal stabbing in Pickering, Ont. Officers initially believed the suspect was 13 years old but later confirmed his age. The victim’s name is being withheld at her family’s request. Investigators say there is no known connection between the suspect and the victim, and the attack appears to have been random. Portions of the incident were captured on video as students were leaving school.
