Speaking with Reuters in Singapore Sunday, Canada鈥檚 Chief of Defence Staff Jennie Carignan confirmed potential plans for Canada to join U.S. President Donald Trump鈥檚 upcoming 鈥淕olden Dome鈥 missile defence system will be 鈥渦p for discussion and development over the next few months.鈥 Carignan also noted the Canadian Armed Forces鈥 recent spike in military recruitment, after an extended dry spell. She said the shift was inspired by increase global defence threats.
