Joly lays out Canada’s plan forward at Aluminium Summit after Trump says tariffs will double to 50%

Canada’s Minister of Industry Mélanie Joly said the federal government has taken “note of the announcements coming from the White House. U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that he will double the tariffs on steel and aluminium imports to 50 per cent. Joly said the “plan is to fight, protect and build.”
