Saskatchewan wildfires: 16 active blazes rage across province, 26 communities evacuated

As of Monday, provincial officials reported that there are currently 16 active wildfires in Saskatchewan, with only five contained while six remain uncontained and four are under assessment. The fires have led to evacuation orders affecting 26 communities, parks, and mines. Public safety agencies have confirmed that 163 structures have been lost to the fires across the province. Officials said that to mitigate further risks, a full fire ban and ATV ban have been imposed across the northern region of Saskatchewan to prevent human-caused fires.
