On Tuesday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said that developing the so-called Ring of Fire is the “number one priority” for his government. He added that Prime Minister Mark Carney has indicated that the project will not take 15 years; instead, it will be completed in a maximum of 24 months. The Ring of Fire is a vast, mineral-rich region located in Northern Ontario.
