it’s been a year since Edmonton introduced a new zoning bylaw and now, city council is reviewing how things are going — and they’re hearing passionate arguments from citizens both for and against the changes that have allowed multi-unit housing in places previously restricted to single family homes, such a mature neighbourhoods. As Lisa MacGregor explains, the concerns expressed include property values, no parking, predatory developers, quality of builds and housing affordability.
